Zagreb, 12 May 2020 – At today´s meeting of the Supervisory Board of Kraš Plc, Slavko Ledić has been appointed President of the Management Board. He is going to take up the role on 16 May 2020 after leaving the position of CEO at Kozum that he has successfully held for the last five years. The previous President of the Management Board of Kraš Plc, Mr Damir Bulić, is moving to the position of Member of the Management Board where he will continue working together with other members to build an even better Kraš to the benefit and satisfaction of its employees and consumers, which are going to remain key business priorities for the company.
“I am extremely proud to take on the responsibilities of President of the Management Board of Kraš and confident I am going to contribute to fulfilling the potential the business undoubtedly has. It is our goal to position Kraš as the leading confectionery industry in the region, and we are going to achieve this by streamlining and modernising business processes and by maintaining and enhancing all the values, on which Kraš has based its successful history for almost 110 years. The focus of my work is going to be on increasing manufacturing output and sales volumes and on strengthening the position of Kraš in the existing markets and on expanding into new markets, all based on the superior quality, a long tradition and high recognition of Kraš products and brands. I want to thank my colleague, Damir Bulić, who has successfully steered the company so far and all the employees who have been building up and developing Kraš throughout the years. I am looking forward to continuing to deliver new value. I am also grateful to all at Konzum and Fortenova Group for their support and trust over the years,” Slavko Ledić said.
In the aftermath of these challenging times, the management of Kraš is currently working on additional adjustments to business operations and plans for different scenarios and the level of impact of the crisis the company´s operations, the manufacturing sector and the economy in general are facing. Additionally, a due diligence of the company´s operations, already initiated in late 2019, with the aim of making restructuring and investment plans is among the first moves of the new President of the Management Board. The challenge the new Management Board is now facing is to unlock the enormous potential of the company by increasing the efficiency of distribution channels, opening up new markets, increasing the efficiency and productivity of operations and modernising the existing capacities. Its employees continue to be the company´s biggest asset, and Kraš will continue to be one of the key players in the Croatian economy.
